  Joyce will be signing books and chatting with readers at Avid Reader at Tower, 1600 Broadway, Sacramento from 2:00 -4:00 pm. Bring your questions about The Crystal Ball, your sense of humor and your sweet tooth! There will be cookies and always a few surprises, as each author event replicates–at least a little–the party between the pages of The Crystal Ball. • Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014  
  Joyce will be at Planet Earth Rising, 625 Sutter St., Folsom  from 1:00 -4:00 pm. It’s an intuitive fair day at Planet Earth and a great opportunity to purchase her book called The Crystal Ball, to shop for an actual crystal ball at this wonderful metaphysical emporium, or to get a “crystal ball” outlook for 2014 from one of the talented readers on hand. At 1:00, Joyce will give a presentation on “Mainstreaming Metaphysics and Astrology through the Arts,” followed by a Q&A session about The Crystal Ball and signing purchased copies.  It’s a great day to make an afternoon of “how you will be in the future,” the theme of the costume party between the pages of Joyce’s debut novel.  Start 2014 with fun and a focus on the future!  Sacramento News & Review listing and more details, including flyer.

  The Feisty Side of Fifty Interviews Joyce Mason, Author of The Crystal Ball. Live at 9:00 AM, available later on demand. Feisty’s Mary Eileen Williams celebrates baby boomer women fifty and better who are totally transforming the spirit and style of aging. Her 15-minute interviews with authors, actors and experts inspire positive later living. This interview will focus on the longevity aspects of The Crystal Ball and its fictional non-profit organization that helps foster long, productive lives for its members. Listen here.

The Best of Capitol Crimes Anthology event from 6 to 8 PM, Barnes & Noble across from the Roseville Galleria. This event is in conjunction with B&N’s Discovery Friday, a precursor to Black Friday. Joyce will be one of the authors on hand to sell and sign the Anthology.
